Brief description of the OER
This resource provides an introduction to setting up and using an ellipsometer. It is intended to be used by the student with no previous experience of the instrumentation, just some basic optics knowledge.
The resource consists of an illustrated manual (20 pages, pdf format) which takes the reader through some background theory and then on to basic instrumentation, and a video (15 mins) which illustrates how an ellipsometer is set up and used to take measurements.
Both parts of the resource are issued under an attribution-only Creative Commons licence.
